Privacy

Here is what happens to your information when you read the wiki or suggest an edit.

What we collect when you read

We keep simple site statistics with the time of each event: the page viewed, words entered in site search and whether a search found no results, tags clicked, and the site language. We do not store your IP address, and you do not need an account to read.

Analytics

If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand page visits. Google may process usage and device information and set analytics cookies. Analytics stays off until you accept; Google Analytics advertising features are disabled. We remember your choice for 12 months. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change it or withdraw consent. Declining stops analytics and removes Google Analytics cookies where possible.

Suggest an edit

We keep only the message you write and the section you pick; we do not ask for a name or email. To limit spam, we store a scrambled one-way code made from your IP address that cannot be turned back into the address.

YouTube videos

Before you press play, the preview picture loads from YouTube’s image server (img.youtube.com), so YouTube can see that the image was requested. The video player and YouTube’s cookies load only after you press play. From then on, YouTube’s privacy policy applies.
